MAREA Ceramic & Shell Wall Light

A sculptural hand-made ceramic wall light inspired by the sea.

This double-arm sconce is richly encrusted with a shell-like surface, hand-applied to the ceramic body in a nod to coral textures and the dramatic coastal formations of the Calanques in southern France. Glazed in a soft, sandy Shino-style cream with hints of blush, the ceramic base pairs gently with translucent white porcelain shades and polished brass fittings.

Drawing from the ornate traditions of 18th-century French shellwork, grotto furniture, and coquillage décor, this piece brings a sense of whimsy and craftsmanship to any space. From beachside homes to layered, eclectic interiors, each sconce is a celebration of ceramic artistry, natural imperfection, and nostalgic lighting design.
