The frontal figure is rendered through superpositions of material layers, earths and natural pigments that recall ancient wall surfaces, with a rough and irregular texture typical of the artist's technique. The intertwining of hands and the face with archaic proportions fit into a rigorous compositional space, marked by sober geometries and fields. Mignozzi's signature is clearly visible on the front and also on the back, guaranteeing authenticity. The work presents a warm and earthy palette, ideal for contemporary environments or collections attentive to post-twentieth-century Italian painting. Antonio Mignozzi was born in 1942 in Trebisacce (CS), studied at the Brera Academy in Milan, and has lived and worked in Verbania since 1973.
