SOURCING IN ITALY - DESIGN INSPIRATION

Casa Iris has long been on my radar, and on my last trip to Italy in June I was fortunate enough to finally get to visit Orbetello and stay in this most beautiful of Bed and Breakfasts. Matthew and his partner have lovingly restored Palazzo Raveggi, which has been in their family for many years, to perfection. Their expert choice of furnishings is faultless and I was so inspired to see some of the most beautiful mirrors, lighting and mirrored tiles adorning their walls. This is exactly how I would decorate my apartment, if only we had the same tiled floors and beautiful frescoed walls

A stay in this area of Tuscany would not be complete without a visit to Il Pellicano and with some expert negotiations we managed to spend an afternoon there by the picture perfect pool followed by a mouth watering dinner in their restaurant overlooking the gardens. Watching the sun set and drinking in the endless dusk was a true delight, and while we weren't official guests of the hotel, their warmth and hospitality was a true testament to what a superb hotel it is.
