About

Beautiful things carry history within.

Secondi brings a curated collection of vintage 20th century objects, sourced firsthand from dealers, brocantes and ateliers across France and Italy, brought back to Australia for homes that value beauty, design and history.

We specialise in collectible small furniture, accent pieces, lighting, vases, mirrors, and decorative objects. Each piece is chosen for its design integrity, its provenance, and the sense that it has lived a life worth knowing about - and that’s the point.

The Story Behind Secondi

Emma Lunn, the founder of Secondi, didn’t develop an eye for beautiful objects. She inherited one.

Her great-grandmother was among the first female auctioneers in NSW. Her mother and aunt ran a much-loved vintage store in Enmore through the 1980s. Beside her mother,  Emma first walked the floors of Sydney’s auction houses as a teenager, learning how to read a piece, understand its past, and trust what she felt standing in front of it.

Before Secondi, Emma spent years at the intersection of fashion, design and retail; as a buyer, a David Jones stylist, and one of Australia’s early ecommerce pioneers. The thread running through every chapter has been the same: a lifelong pursuit of things made with intention.

In 2024, Emma took a defining step - she committed to spending 12 months living and sourcing in the South of France, deepening her connection to a network of vintage dealers, and returning with a strengthened clarity, knowledge and experience that sets Secondi apart.

We are proud that Secondi stands for something beyond the objects themselves. At a time when the home furnishings industry is saturated with mass-produced goods made to be replaced, we believe in a different approach: buy less, buy better, and buy things that already exist.

Vintage is not a trend at Secondi. That is the whole point.
